So true. We should spend more time loving people than trying to change others into who we want them to be.
Don’t expect more from a person than they are capable and you won’t be let down. Fully rely on God with all your heart for he is love, joy, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control (Gal. 5:22). Man will always fall short of the glory of God because we are flawed. Dont rely on another for happiness that can only be found in Abba father. While man is full of sin, a lustful heart, greed, pride, and the ability to hurt one another God is love and always the same. He is our refuge. Fully rely on God in all things and you will be made whole.
I have found it very difficult to forgive myself for things Ive done wrong. We have all sinned and we all fall short of the glory of God. Admittedly, if I were perfect Jesus wouldn’t have had to die on the cross for my sins. After cancer my life was out of control due to PTSD. The body goes through so much pain and suffering. So does the human mind. I have been in a much better place for the last year but only because I press into God.
I felt better this week after praying and doing my daily bible study. I read today about this that Paul wrote; “I have been constantly on the move. I have been in danger from bandits, in danger from my own countrymen, in danger from gentiles: in danger in the city, in danger in the country, in danger at sea; and in danger from false brothers. (2 Corinthians 11:26)
This verse helped me remember that even though I have endured so much after cancer that Paul faced hardships and we as Christains will too face hardships. Just because I am a Christian doesnt mean I am promised a perfect life or have a get out of jail free card. I have found to walk with Christ I have more strength when I endure those hardships. I have more power and can persevere in those trials.
If I walk with Christ (meaning dig into my bible study, pray, and listen for Him) I have peace and joy that surpasses all understanding in trials and hardships.
Being offended is a choice.
To worship another is to do them an injustice. There is only one God. I love this.
No not bow before the unworthy.
There is only One deserving of
your devotion; all others have
feet of clay. Do not put them
on pedestals for surely they
will fall. You do them an injustice
when you give them undeserved
homage for they can never live up
to your expectations…such a heavy
burden you place upon them.
“Thou shalt have no other gods
The Creator is the Source of all.
Having gifts that differ according to the grace given to us, let us use them; if prophecy, in proportion to our faith; if service, in our serving; the one who teaches, in his teaching; the one who exhorts, in his exhortation; the one who contributes, in generosity; the one who leads, with zeal; the one who does acts of mercy, with cheerfulness. Romans 12:6-8
A desire is created by Him in your heart to manifest spiritual gifts to grow his kingdom. Walk in the joy of the Lord. Exercise your spiritual gifts. You are made for a purpose and to feel fulfilled let God use you for the gifts which you were made. Serve with a joyous heart.
We are made for so much more than just life death and to receive the Holy Spirit. We are created to worship, love and serve God. To do this we must receive grace, walk in the spirit and listen carefully for direction from the Holy Spirit.
For those who don’t believe God still speaks to us either audibly, through repetition, His written word, or symbols is at a great disadvantage and is truly missing something great! Why would a father stop speaking to his children? If the Holy Spirit resides in you don’t you think its possible God can speak to you through the Holy Spirit? Have you considered He never quit talking to us but it’s that we stopped listening. Satan, the liar and great deceiver would love for us to believe God stopped talking to us. Refuse to allow Satan to have any glory and give it all to God. Believe and act on faith and see what happens. Something great will happen.
“for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and are justified by his grace as a fight through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus, whom God put forward as a propitiation by his blood, to be received by faith.” Romans 3:23-25
I have been thinking a lot lately about the whole situation with Lance Armstrong. He is a non-believer yes, but in regard to Romans 3:23-25 we are all sinners. He is a sinner and you are a sinner and I am a sinner. We all sin. No one sin is greater than another for it is all sin. Yes, he sinner but the bible tells us to let the first without sin cast the first stone. It is so important for us to understand the only way we are forgiven our sins is through the free gift of grace by faith. We are responsible for our sin and will answer for our sins one day before the Lord. We aren’t supposed to judge. Instead we should pray for those who do not know our Heavenly Father.
God sent an angel to my home today. While figuring bills I came to realize it was going to be another month deciding what bills to put off and calculating my late fees. It seems as soon as we get close to catching up we accumulate another dr bill, late fee, or unexpected expense. Its been tough. especially tough through December with more bills than income and five kids. I used to give to the angel tree and buy gifts for needy families. For the first time we were the needy family. God sent an angel to help us with the kids Christmas presents and food in December. Last month he provided financially through unexpected small jobs. He has blessed us each month. Not just our health but each time it seems we aren’t going to make it He provides by the end of the month. Today as I figured bills and noticed the money was a huge amount less than our bills I prayed. I began praying and through tears and I heard my phone ring. An angel on the other end, a life long best friend asked if she could bring me lunch. She arrived with lunch and looked over my bills and covered the bills I didn’t have the financial ability to cover. Thank you God for your angels! You never know when you might be an angel to another person. I used to be that for people and now when I need it God sends unexpected angels to me. Praise God and Thank you for our excellent health!
