You had a lot of crooks try to steal your heart. Never really had any luck.  Couldn’t ever figure out how to love.

You had a lot of moments that didn’t last forever. Now your in the corner trying to put it together. How to love.

You never credit yourself so now when you got older it seems like you come back ten times over. Now your sitting here in the damn corner looking through all your thoughts and looking over your shoulder.

You had a lot of crooks try to steal your heart. Never really had luck. How to love.

When you had a lot of dreams that transformed to visions. The fact that you saw the world affected all your decisions but it wasn’t your fault. It wasn’t your intentions.

I saw a lot of crooks and crooks still crooked. So you had a lot of crooks try to steal your heart. Never really had luck. How to love.

You see I just wanted you to know that you deserve the best. Your beautiful and your far from the usual.

So you had a lot of crooks try to steal your heart. You had a lot of moments that didn’t last forever. Never really had any luck. Couldn’t figure out how to love. How to love.     –Lil Wayne

Brokenness

Brokenness- to be out of working order, not function, horse broken, a broken spirit, submissive

Some might think to be broken might mean to be sad or to go through a great loss. True brokenness is to be broken as a horse is broken and submits to his master. We must first admit we are broken as in ‘not working order’ or ‘not functioning’ before God can make changes in our heart so we can feel better. We have to be broken for God to fix us. We have to admit we don’t have it all together.

This doesn’t come without work or pain. Most people want instant gratification, a quick fix with little work involved. Anything worth having involves work. If we want the blessings and peace God has for us we must submit to him and ask for brokenness and a revival in our soul. We must be willing to submit before our master.

A prayer for brokenness, “Lord, show me what is in my heart I need to change. Help me understand these things so I can experience what you have for me and experience a revival in my life. What selfish, prideful, and dark places exist in my heart? Bring these things to surface and help me to overcome all of these. I pray all these things in Jesus name, Amen.”

The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit, a broken and contrite heart, these, O God, you will not despise. Psalm 51:17

Keep and guard …

Keep and guard your heart with all vigilance. For out of it will flow the springs of life. -Proverbs 4:23

Forgive yourself and your past debts [or others you have hurt]. Let God repay those you have hurt. We cannot repay others we have hurt. Resist the devil, repent, seek God’s forgiveness, forgive others and yourself. Peter asked, “Lord, how many times shall I forgive my brother [others] when he sins against me? Up to seven times?” Jesus answered,”I tell you, not seven times, but seventy-seven times.”

No Man Is an Island

So true. We should spend more time loving people than trying to change others into who we want them to be.

Beechwood Ministry

“The beginning of love is to let those we love be perfectly themselves, and not to twist them to fit our own image. Otherwise, we do not love them: we only love the reflection of ourselves we find in them”

Thomas Merton, No Man Is an Island

Don’t expect more from a person than they are capable and you won’t be let down. Fully rely on God with all your heart for he is love, joy, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control (Gal. 5:22). Man will always fall short of the glory of God because we are flawed. Dont rely on another for happiness that can only be found in Abba father. While man is full of sin, a lustful heart, greed, pride, and the ability to hurt one another God is love and always the same. He is our refuge. Fully rely on God in all things and you will be made whole.

Tears of a Woman

For all those who think women aren’t strong when they cry. We are strong. Crying is just a way of letting it go.

Morning Story and Dilbert

“Mom, why are you crying?” he asked his mom.

“Because I’m a woman” she told him.

“I don’t understand,” he said.

His mom just hugged him and said, “and you never will.” Later the little boy asked his father, “Why does mother seem to cry for no reason?”

“All women cry for no reason” was all his dad could say.

The little boy grew up and became a man, still wondering why women cry.

Finally he put in a call to GOD. When GOD got on the phone the man said, “GOD, why do women cry so easily?”

GOD said:

“When I made women she had to be special. I made her shoulders strong enough to carry the weight of the world; yet, gentle enough to give comfort.

I gave her an inner strength to endure childbirth and the rejection that many times comes from her children.

I gave her…

One Flaw in Women

I loved reading this today. Be blessed.

Morning Story and Dilbert

Women have strengths that amaze men…..IT IS THAT
They bear hardships and they carry burdens,
but they hold happiness, love and joy.

They smile when they want to scream.
They sing when they want to cry.
They cry when they are happy
and laugh when they are nervous.

They fight for what they believe in..
They stand up to injustice.
They don’t take “no” for an answer
when they believe there is a better solution.

They go without so their family can have.
They go to the doctor with a frightened friend.
They love unconditionally.
They cry when their children excel
and cheer when their friends get awards.

They are happy when they hear about
a birth or a wedding.
Their hearts break when a friend dies.
They grieve at the loss of a family member,
yet they are strong when they
think there is no strength left.

They know…

The Arithmatic of Love

In the arithmetic of love, one plus one equals everything, and two minus one equals nothing. -Mignon McLaughlin

Have you been hurt? Or have you hurt someone you love? Are you the antagonist or the protagonist?

Does this complete your insecurities to make one feel small? What have you gained?

Once a heart is hardened can it be made whole again? Have you afflicted a woman’s heart so she has been make vulnerable to you? Have you chosen your words carefully or effortlessly? Were the words that gave self-gratification worth the pain inflicted on both you and her?

To what length will you go to earn her trust again? If you have hurt a loved one seek Gods council, repentance, and ask for His help to stop hurting the one you love. Ask him to heal her heart and make changes so you don’t lose the one you love. Don’t let Satan have a foothold and create lasting strongholds in your relationship.

The small things

So true.

Many of us go through life and wait for the big things, those exiting moments where everything changes, and so we wait…
We continue waiting and waiting and waiting and planning the next big exciting moment, but what we don’t realise are that we miss out on a lot of great moments.  Someone once said “All those moments that passed me by; I didn’t know that they were life.” What I am saying is that when we are focused on planning the future, we forget to enjoy the present. I am not saying that we shouldn’t plan the future, we should, but I wonder if we sometimes are so obsessed with the future that we forget to enjoy the present. The greatest moments in my life haven’t been big, but the best moments are moments that passes in an blink of an eye, but was filled with such joy, love…
