Power From the Holy Spirit

Power From the Holy Spirit

Don’t be deceived. Some believe because Christ died on the cross satan has no power. This is a lie and Satan wants you to believe this so you will have no defence to his schemes. Satan is the thief that Jesus talks about in John 10:10 who has come to steal, kill, and destroy. The power of prayer can stop Satan from his trickery.

Jesus died on the cross to send the Holy Spirit in His place that we will have life eternally and authority over the one who lies and destroys. Jesus says in Matthew 28 verse 18, “All authority in heaven and earth has been given to me.”
With prayer we can defeat Satan. In Luke 10:19 Jesus tells us, “Behold, I have given you authority to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy and nothing shall hurt you.”
There is great power in prayer. Jesus died on the cross giving us use of that power through the Holy Spirit so Satan is a footstool at our feet (Ps. 110:1). Use this great gift by interceding in prayer for our brothers, sisters, family, friends, and leaders.

  1. The problem with many Christians is that they have a lot of head knowledge about salvation. They have never experienced the power of the Holy Ghost in their lives. The power of the Holy Ghost gives the believer power over sin. Too many Christians think that grace lets them continue in sin.

I am very grateful that many sins have died out in my life. Because of the power of the Holy Ghost in my life, I have been delivered of many demons–curses have been broken off of my life. This is not head knowledge–this is my experience of having God in my life.
